The Wye Valley Canoe Centre sits on the banks of the River Wye four miles west of  Hay-on-Wye. We are located on the bridge at Glasbury and have a fleet of Canadian canoes, single kayaks and double kayaks. You can paddle for a few hours or a few days. You start with us at the Wye Valley Canoe Centre in Glasbury and paddle downstream. When you reach your destination you telephone us and we collect you and your canoes with a minibus and trailer.  It is a beautiful stretch of river, and ideal to spend time with friends or family enjoying the peace and quiet of a really unspoilt stretch of water. 

After a couple of hours you reach Hay where you can stop for lunch or we can collect you from there. For the more intrepid a full day will take you a couple of hours further on to either the Toll Bridge or The Boat Inn. If  you need a complete break then try camping or B&B'ing it down the Wye for a few days and reach Hereford, Ross or Monmouth or a few place in between with a bit of canvas or the phone number of a B&B with a four poster (you can tell which I would prefer).

The Wye Valley Canoe Centre was established forty years ago and people come here who say they first came here as children and are now bringing their grandchildren.

Having run it for thirteen years we have decided to branch out. We now also have an excellent cafe (The River Cafe Glasbury), a B&B, a fleet of mountain bikes and seven very cool Vespa scooters for hire in a variety of colours.

We have also converted the old Baptist chapel next door into a posh Bunkhouse for adults and been awarded five star grading by Visit Wales.
