Welcome to Wye Valley Canoes
We are situated on the banks of the River Wye just a few yards
from Glasbury Bridge and approximately five minutes by car from
the bookshop town of Hay-on-Wye.
NOTE: THE CANOE CENTRE IS CLOSED NOVEMBER - MARCH
INCLUSIVE.
OUR OFFICE AND CAFE ARE OPEN ALL YEAR ROUND!
What we do
You can hire Canadian canoes, double kayaks
or single kayaks and paddle off downstream to Hay-on-Wye
which is 5 miles and will take you 2 hours, or to the
Boat Inn at Whitney which is approx 10 miles and will
take you 4 hours.
For the more adventurous try camping or B&B'ing it
down the Wye. When you reach your destination you telephone
us and we come and collect you in our minibus and return
you to your car in Glasbury. |

Whether you are off for a few hours or a few days we provide
all the equipment you will need - boat, paddle, buoyancy aid,
waterproof barrels to store your kit and a map. This equipment
and recovery by minibus from wherever you get to is included
in the hire charge. We give you a safety talk before you set
out but no previous experience is necessary in the canoes or
the double kayaks. Previous experience preferred for kayaking.
